Åke Sandberg

Åke Sandberg is em. professor at the Department of Sociology. Earlier he was working at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Arbetslivsinstitutet/National Institute for Working Life in Stockholm.

Åke's research area is work organization, management and ICT. The last few years a number of empiricial studies covered the ICT sector, Internet and multimedia, and journalistic work. Before that empirical studies and change oriented projects were+ carried out in various sectors, among them the auto industry, and printing and graphic industry. Central aspects have been particpation, 'good work', control and productivity.

A new edited book with eighteen chapters will be published in the autumn 2012:  ABSOLUT MANAGEMENT. Scandinavian perspectives on management in the new working life (SNS Publishing house in cooperation with an international academic publisher). Updated details will come soon.

In March 2012, with colleagues, the 30th International Labour Process Conference, ILPC2012 was organized in Stockholm.
