I recently completed my PhD under the Nymphalidae Systematics Group with Dr. Niklas Wahlberg as my supervisor.
To sum up my current research in a sentence - I am interested in understanding evolutionary patterns in butterflies. Although my PhD looked into systematic relationships and biogeographic patterns within the family Nymphalidae, my position in our department has allowed me to develop and pursue other interests that include wing-pattern evolution (especially eyespots) and host-plant interactions. With my overarching interest in evolutionary patterns, most of my work has involved phylogenies directly or indirectly. More in my Research page.
